The dream faded…

Jenn Lynn woke up with a blood curdling scream. She was drenched in sweat, her sheets entangled around her legs and waist. When her eyes adjusted to the familiar guest room at the east wing of the palace, she let out a quivering breath and let her head fall back against the soft pillows.

“It was just a dream,” She told herself. “Just a dream.”

“I was right,” A quiet voice echoed in the dark room. At the sound of it, her heart jumped into her throat and she bolted upright in her bed. Matthias stepped into the moonlight streaming in through the open balcony windows. Jenn Lynn placed her hand over her heart, and closed her eyes in relief.

Author’s Note: The Jenn Lynn series was crafted out of love as birthday presents for my dearest wife. She enjoys a variety of Young Adult and Fantasy genres and wanted to give her something totally not me. This was carried out over a span of three years time. She loved them and I was happy to bring a lot of joy to her life.

These stories are a light romp where good triumphs over evil, and the past is conquered through faith and love and hope. Though not religious in nature, they are a good and safe read for any young girl.
