LESS than a hundred years ago, nobody knew who the Green Man was. Most today still don’t. It’s only a little shocking since the Green Man can be found in Cathedrals everywhere and is like the ‘Where’s Waldo’ of Medieval Europe. Another unfortunate aspect of his story is that the pagans claim him as their own. Truly, the meaning and the identity of the Green Man has been lost.
